Cassette Club – Unreleased EP
Ben Macklin and Tom Hammond are Cassette Club, a synth-pop duo from London. They basically make music which is ’80s-ish’, but not in the way that James Murphy says, “borrowed nostalgia for the unremembered eighties”… in a way which is fun and quite danceable. They are giving away an ep of unreleased material. This isn’t material which is unreleased because it’s rubbish, it’s material that is unreleased because nobody has had the common sense to give them a load of money to release an album. Hopefully this situation will change soon….
Ben Macklin と Tom Hammond によるロンドンのシンセポップデュオ、 Cassette Club。彼らの特徴は、James Murphy が言っていたような「忘れられていた80sのノスタルジア」。な80sチックなサウンドで、楽しくてダンス出来るものが多いです。そんな彼らが未リリーストラックを収録したEPを配信中。因みにイケてないからリリースされなかったんではなくて、アルバムリリースをリリースする為に誰もお金を使ってくれなかったから。この状況が近いうちにかわるといいんだけどなぁ。
