I didn’t expect this, the long-awaited new album from Whitey is finally here and it didn’t leak or anything. The circumstances of it’s arrival are a bit mixed in nature, this was meant to be released by Dim Mak. However, for whatever reason he’s decided to go it alone and release it through his bandcamp. “Lost Summer” (coincidental title) is nine tracks in length and is a ‘proper’ album. What do I mean by a ‘proper’ album? I mean that it has a start, middle and end. You appreciate it more by listening to it in it’s entirety. It’s kinda weird that’s actually a unique thing now….
大分長い事まったWhiteyのアルバムがリークせずにリリース。だけど、これまた一筋縄にはいかなかったようで、本来ならDim Makからのリリースのはずが、理由は解りませんが彼は彼のbandcampからリリースする事に。”Lost Summer”は9つトラックが収録されていて、ちゃんとしたニューアルバムです。どいういう意味かと言うと、始まりと終わりがちゃんあって、アルバムとして構成されているっていう事です。通して聞けばよく解るはず。最近ではこういうアルバムが珍しくなってしまった気がします…。
It’s perhaps his most miserable album to date too, which sounds like a bad thing but it really isn’t. Honest. Apparently Rory Phillips was involved in the production of the album, which is cool name to drop if you are the type to drop cool names….
このアルバムは今までの中で最も惨めな感じのアルバムかもしれません。言っておきますけど、これはれっきとした褒め言葉ですよ。彼はこの手のサウンドを作ったらピカイチですから。そしてこのアルバムにはRory Phillips がプロダクションサイドで参加しているようですよ。
