Australian musician/producer Kreap gives DJ Shadow’s “Scale It Back” a bit of transformation with his ‘Garage Mix‘ which really is channelling some serious Todd Edwards house vibes. If this had been submitted to the remix competition, this surely would have been up there with the eventual winners….
Robotaki has uploaded instrumentals of his recent remixes of Girls’ Generation, for those of us who simply cannot handle that amount of leg action. According to his tumblr, it’s also the end of him doing bootlegs, so he can finish his debut ep. The highlight of these instrumentals for myself is the one of “Visual Dreams“, it’s pratically an original and a very well crafted one at that.
There is also one of “The Boys” which staggeringly didnt win a remix competition, check out the other entrants for LOLS (lots of bad dubstep). I have to say, I did grow a bit fond of electro-funk-rap-bit in the vocal version. It’s like Bomfunk MC’s.. but with Korean girls instead of B-Boy’s from Finland….
And, as this post was being written, he uploaded his remix of DJ Shadow’s “Scale It Back“, it’s totally different from his Girls’ Generation work and the other side of his production. The use of Little Dragon’s vocal is well, well used. If you liked his revamp of Manoria Cathedral from the Chrono Trigger soundtrack, you’ll be in heaven.
