Baron Von Luxxury is Robin Blake, a DJ/Producer from Los Angeles. However, I mainly know him for being part of the Disco Workout blog. Not so along he released his album “The Last Seduction“, it’s totally a massive ode to the excess of 80′s synthpop.

At it’s best, it has some really catchy (and a little bit lyrically uneasy) tracks like the Keenhouse co-produced “Terry Richardson“, the Little Boots collab “That Disco Beat” and James Bond-esque instrumental “Glass Candy“. At it’s worst it sounds a bit like a parody of The Human League….
そして滅茶苦茶キャッチーなトラックもあったりして、(歌詞はそうでもないですが) 例えば、Keenhouseとの共同作 ”Terry Richardson” や、Little Bootsとのコラボ ”That Disco Beat“、更にはJames Bondのテーマの様な ”Glass Candy” 等。聴き方によってはHuman League のパロディにも感じたりするかもしれませんが…。
