Baalance is a band and they hail from Strasbourg, France. And with most new artists that we post, that’s really all I know about them at this moment in time. But, mystery is good, yeah? They might be space-ninja-pirates or something.. oooh.. that would be cool.
Baalanceはフランス・ストラスブールのバンドで、最近ポストした中でも1番新しいアーティスト。それ以外の事は明らかになってないのですが、もしかしたら彼らの正体は宇宙の忍者海賊とかだったりして・・・。
They sent over their EP, “God Smokes & Devil Drinks“, it’s a free download and quite a nice one at that. The opening track “God Smokes” is a very simple piano track, with some subtle Air like synths underneath. It’s very pleasant, I know ‘pleasant’ isnt exactly giving it mad-hype but it is exactly that. There’s a good musicality to it and it builds well. It’s all you really need sometimes…
そんな謎めいた彼らが ”God Smokes & Devil Drinks” というEPを送ってくれまして、コチラはフリーダウンロードでござます。オープニングトラック、”God Smokes” はとってもシンプルなピアノトラックで、ちょっとAirチックなシンセもチラリ。とっても気持ちの良い感じ、絶対流行る!っていうタイプではないかもしれないけれど、音楽的なセンスや展開はとっても素敵。こういうものもたまには必要です。
The second track “Devil Drinks” works as an electro-ish resprise of first track, touching the same area of sound that some Justice remixes have had in the past. It’s slightly spoiled by a bit cheap-sounding ‘spooky’ effect. But it’s not spoiled by it that much it.
2つ目のトラック、”Devil Drinks” は1つ目のトラックのエレクトロ版的な感じ。前にあったJusticeのリミックスを思い出すような感じもあって、残念なのはちょっと安っぽいスプーキーなサウンドが紛れ込んでいる事位で、別にすべてを台無しにしてるわけではないのでご安心を。
And there is an outro, which is an outro.
