Christian Strobe – Midnight Call.

Christian Strobe is the new project of Christian Schnall. I’ve never heard of his name before, so I checked his other projects (Disco Trash Music and Spruce) and found out he handles 3 quite different genres, including this new one. I’m not huge fan of the other projects but this track “Midnight Call” is just so delightful. It’s a catchy pop track, but id doesnt over do it. The press release describes it quite well, “airy new wave pop, retro-futurism with a pinch of house”. Yes, that’s it! Luckily, the radio edit of the original is free to share, so.. enjoy!

Christian StrobeはChristian Schnallによる新しいプロジェクト。実は彼の事何も知らなかったんですが、調べたところ、どうやら他にも色々やっているようで(Disco Trash MusicとSpruce)、しかもどれもかなりジャンルが違うっていう器用な人みたいです。他のプロジェクトに関してはあまりそこまで興味はないのですが、この”Midnight Call”、かなり良いです。すごいキャッチーなポップトラックで、そのポップさが絶妙。プレスリリースによると、”エアリーなニューウェーブ、ハウスな要素もちょっと入ったレトロフューチャリズム”だそうで、その通りだと思います。そしてオリジナルのラジオエディットはフリーでゲットできちゃいます、これは絶対聞いてほしい!

There are remixes that come with the EP. Keenhouse, Nightdrive, VHS-Tape and Codebreaker are on board. Our favourite is easily the Keenhouse one. He’s made it much more friendlier to the dancefloors. Perhaps it’s bit different from his usual cute & dreamy style but it’s still great. You can check the other remixes and another original track “Lonesome Astronaut” (nice little instrumental!) from the EP on his soundcloud.
