Holiday For Strings.

Holiday For Strings consists of 5 Swedish guys including John from Peter, Bjorn and John, and Pony, from Thieves Like Us. They explain their music as mixture of post rock, kraut rock, pop, disco, and dub but don’t worry! It’s not complicated at all. Their music is very gentle and relaxing.

Holiday For StringsはPeter, Bjorn and JohnのJohn, Thieves Like UsのPonyを含む5人組のスウェーデン人のバンドです。彼らはバンドのサウンドをポストロック、クラウトロック、ポップ、ディスコ、ダブのミクスチャーと説明していますがそんなこんがらかった音楽を想像する必要はないです。とってもやさしくてリラックスできるサウンドが特徴。

They have an album, ‘Favorite Flavor’ out from Sea You records and it’s such a pleasant album. You may hear various music elements through the album but it keeps nicely simple all the time and doesn’t go too far. Some are a little bit dancy, there are also some nice instrumental tracks too. The track we are posting today is called ‘Two of You’ ,which is one of a few dancy tracks from the album. It reminds me of Joy Division a little bit but that’s totally a good thing! 彼らのアルバム’Favorite Flavor’はSea You recordsより発売中なんですが、これがなかなか素敵なアルバムで、チラホラと色んなジャンルの要素が聞こえてきたり、でも行き過ぎるシンプルになっていて良い感じです。ちょっとダンシーなトラックもあり、キレイなインストロメンタルもあり。今回紹介するトラック’Two of You’はちょっとダンシーでJoy Division的な雰囲気もあったりしたり。悪い事では全然ないんですけど。アルバムは天気の良い週末の午後に持って来いな一枚になっています。彼らのマイスペースにて他のトラックもチェックできますよ。
